Spain showed determination and lots of cohesion in the first half but it was Egypt who scored first.

In the second half, despite Spain maintaining majority of the possession, Egypt scored again in the 62nd minute when Adel pounced on loose ball and beat keeper.
Egypt were able to see out the rest of the game and repel Spain's advances towards goal.
With this win, Egypt now sit at the top of group C and will progress to the quarter finals as the winners of the group.
