Pep Guardiola has spoken out about the altercation between Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland and an Arsenal coach.

The Gunners secured an important victory against their title rivals Man City thanks to Gabriel Matinelli’s late goal in the second half.

The two Man City players and set-piece expert Nicolas Jover then appeared to be in a violent argument after the game.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, admitted after the game that he was aware of what started the argument.

Guardiola speaks about the altercation

During the post-match press conference, Pep Guardiola was asked if he knew what happened between his players and the Arsenal set-pieces coach.

Guardiola said as reported by the Sun, "I know what happened but I don't want to say anything. They know it."

When asked if he approved of Arsenal's behaviour, he responded, "Yeah, absolutely."

Haaland and Walker seemed to be involved in a heated argument with several hosts' coaching staff members as they made their way to the tunnel.

The Norwegian international and North Londoners' set-piece coach Nicolas Jover, who formerly worked for the Citizens, were seen in the video arguing and pushing one another.

Walker served as the mediator between Jover and his teammate during the incident, which happened by the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s win against Man City brings to an end an eight-year drought against the Citizens.
