The schools will compete hours before a champions league match on each day of the UEFA knockout matches, with the tournament climaxing on the day of the final in June 2023.

Beverage giants Crown Beverages, through their brand Pepsi, has brought life to the UEFA Champions League knockout round nights with their generous giveaway campaign dubbed 'Thirsty For More.'

The annual initiative was launched at Fast Fusion Sports grounds in Kampala on Wednesday in a campaign with superstars Lionel Messi and Vinicius Junior as the global ambassadors.

After taking a Pepsi soda, fans will be in line to win prizes, including headsets, t-shirts, caps, and string bags, among others, once they check under the crown.

"Upon buying a 300ml returnable glass Pepsi bottle and the 330ml Pepsi Max PET bottle, customers shall stand a chance of winning many prizes," said Crown Beverages Limited Head of Marketing Timothy Luzinda.

Meanwhile, in the latest edition, the Champions League nights have been taken to Schools' championships through their alumni associations.

The league will have eight schools, including Ntare School, Ndejje SS, Kings College Buddo, Mbarara High School, Makerere College, Kibuli SS, Namugongo SS and St Henry's Kitovu.

"We understand how much our customers love football, they are passionate about this sport, and we are passionate about keeping our customers happy and fulfilled."

"That's why we have made it a tradition to run a UEFA promotion every year," said Brand Manager Ernest Ssentongo.

The Alumni leagues will each send four participants to the Schools Alumni Champions League, who will fight for the ultimate prize.
