Having picked their maiden win of the 2023/24 Pepsi University Football League, Kyambogo University face visit Ndejje University at the Arena of Visions, with their sights locked on three points.

Last time out, Kyambogo edged a resilient Muni University 1-0 last week, and head coach Christopher Lobbo is optimistic they can build on it for Saturday's bout.

"I think the biggest thing that we want to focus on is to build on the positives of the good things that our team did in our last game," Lobbo told the media.

“Competitive spirit did a lot of good things in terms of being able to pass the ball effectively than in the previous game where we looked so sloppy. Our focus is now on winning every game that comes by,” Lobbo added.

On the other hand, Ndejje University have had a poor start to the season after being humbled by Makerere University 3-0 at home at the Arena of Visions in Luwero in their previous match.

Head coach Musa Sekago acknowledges the current state but knows they can still turn the events, starting with the Kyambogo encounter.

"I understand that the steps are smaller than we expected, and we have not delivered, although we deserve better results. We must grow and learn in every game."

"We are still turning the situation around. It's a process of development and construction."

While Kyambogo are second in Group C with three points, Ndejje are bottom with one m, whilst Makerere (six) and Muni (one) are top and third, respectively.
