With seven games left until the end of the season, the Queens are top of the 10-team log with 33 points after winning all their 11 games played so far.

Kampala Queens WFC defeated defending champions She Corporate WFC 2-0 at Kabojja on Sunday morning to edge closer to the 2022/23 FUFA Women Super League title.

The hosts scored either half of the game through Hasifah Nassuna and Resty Nanziri in the 15th and 79th minute, respectively.

With seven games left until the end of the season, the Queens are top of the 10-team log with 33 points after winning all their 11 games played so far.

Hamza Lutalo's charges are 14 points clear of second-placed Uganda Martyrs LWFC, who are on 19 points after losing their opening two games of the second round this campaign.

It will surely take a miracle to leapfrog Ugandan women's football moneybags, who are now chasing winning the title with an invicible record.

The Queens need only seven points from the remaining seven games to have their name written on the trophy. Corporate remained put in the fifth position with 14 points.

Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Makerere University WFC edged Lady Doves FC 1-0 at Makerere Grounds in the other game played on the day.
