Jadon Sancho: Ten Hag declares poor trainer 'not important' to Manchester United
Jadon Sancho has made just three appearances this season all as a substitute, but his future at Manchester United is in doubt after a fallout with manager Erik Ten Hag.
“The Sancho stuff, I don’t agree with, really. Players coming out on social media… These things should be dealt with in-house and I don’t think that would have happened with a certain man in charge.
“That always ended badly. And Ten Hag has been just as strong, he has shown who’s the boss and that’s the way forward.”
For a while now, Maguire has been a target for boos and things only became worse when he scored an own goal against Scotland last week.
Crouch continued, “I just think it’s sad. In this day and age on social media, if you have a bad game it gets highlighted, there’s no in-the-middle, you’re either the worst player in the world or the best player in the world.
“It happened to me, I got booed for England coming on by my own fans, so I have been there where he has been and it’s a horrible place to be.
“But he has good people around him, lots of people have come out and supported him and none more so than his manager.
“He seems to be taking it very, very well but unfortunately it’s the world we live in at the moment where it’s bordering on the ridiculous, certainly for England.
“He’s having a difficult time at Manchester United and there’s no disguising that, he has found himself out of the team and lost form. But the abuse goes beyond criticism.”
