It was the third time that the Serbian was winning the accolade during the 2023/24 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign.
Stojanovic had previously won it in December, 2023, and for the combined months of March and April, 2024.
The Jogoos enjoyed a brilliant season during the Serbian tactician’s maiden tenure in the SUPL, capping it off with their first league title since 2004.
Villa registered five victories from their final six games, losing only to their archrivals KCCA FC 2-0 at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
For his second consecutive award, Stojanovic shrugged off competition from BUL FC’s Abbey Kikomeko and Kitara FC’s Brian Ssenyondo whose sides tightly contended for title all season only to lose it on the final day of the season.
Meanwhile, Busoga FC’s Emmanuel Ajo was named the player of the month despite the fact that his team was relegated.
Ajo scored four goals in six games but his individual performances could not bail out the Kingsmen. He beat Vipers SC’s skipper Milton Karisa and Kitara’s striker Denis Omedi to the award.
They both took home a plaque, an accolade, and a sum of one million Uganda shillings at the awarding ceremony held at Kati Kati restaurant, Lugogo on Wednesday evening.
Stojanovic is on vacation and was represented by the club's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) William Nkemba.
