Karisa has scooped four awards on the night. MVP, Most Assists, Coaches' Player of the season, and he was also named in the Best XI of the season.

We can now call it a season after the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League Awarding ceremony

Karisa has scooped four awards on the night. MVP, Most Assists, Coaches' Player of the season, and part  of the Best XI of the season.

The Most Valuable Player of the 2022/23 UPL Season is Vipers SC captain Milton Karisa.

Best XI of the season: Simon Tamale (GK), Grant Matsiko, Denis Omony Kaka, Gift Fred, Hillary Mukundane, Lawrence Bukenya, Gaddafi Wahab, Laban Tibita, Milton Karisa, Charles Bbaale, Allan Kayiwa

The top scorer of the season award automatically goes to Express FC forward Allan Kayiwa who managed 13 goals.

Karisa was tied on eight assists with Allan Okello but beat him to the award having scored more goals, eight.

The King of Assists is Vipers SC Captain Milton Karisa with eight assists.

The Platinum Award goes to the legendary Andrew Fimbo Mukasa.

Isabirye helped the Venoms to their maiden domestic double the UPL and the Uganda Cup. 

After guiding Vipers SC to the 2022/23 UPL title, Alex Isabirye is the UPL manager of the season.

Laban featured in 27 match scored seven goals, managed four assists, and won five Man of the Match Awards.

Busoga United FC's Laban Tibita is the 2022/23 UPL midfielder of the season.

Mukundane played in 26 games of the 28 as the Venoms defended the 2022/23 UPL title.

Vipers SC defender Hillary Mukundane is the 2022/23 UPL defender of the season.

Tamale kept 13 clean sheets the most of any other goalkeeper in the league and won seven Man of the Match Awards the most of any other player in the league and two Player of the Month Awards.

Maroons FC goalkeeper Simon Tamale is the 2022/23 UPL goalkeeper of the season.

Vipers SC captain Milton Karisa is the coaches' player of the season.

Ojok scored four goals as the newly promoted Maroons finished sixth on the 15-team UPL log. 

Maroons FC's Darius Ojok is the 2022/23 young player of the season.

Interestingly, Bbaale played 27 of the 28 games in the 2022/23 UPL Season. 

Bbaale scored 12 goals in the 2022/23 UPL Season losing the golden boot by one goal to Express FC's Allan Kayiwa who netted 13 goals.

The team captains have decided the players' player of the season is SC Villa striker Charles Bbaale.

The Lira based side was nonetheless relegated back to the FUFA Big League but this award will leave them proud for the year spent in the topflight. 

Blacks Power takes home the Fair Play Award after picking the least number of yellow cards, 30 and received no red card.

The fair play team of the season Award goes to Blacks Power FC and that is the first of the night.  

The third deputy FUFA president Hon. Nakiwala Kiyingi is one of the dignitaries in attendance.

The State Minister for Sports Hon. Peter Ogwang will be the guest of honor at today's event. 

It is almost time for the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League  Awards and the guests are making their way into the Sheraton Hotel and we should be underway in a couple of minutes.

The 2021/22 Fair Play Award went to UPDF FC and it was received by their former coach Brian Ssenyondo.

Abdulahi Rashid Kawawa was named the Young Player of  the 2021/22 Season AT the expense of Denis Otim and Emmanuel Okech.

Richard Anyama won the Goalkeeper of the Season Award in the 2021/22 Campaign during his time at Arua Hill SC.

Siraje Ssentamu the 2021/22 Midfielder of the Season.

Vipers SC midfielder Siraje Ssentamu beat Bobosi Byaruhanga and Marvin Joseph Youngman to the Midfielder of the Season Award last season.

It's that time of the year again when the most outstanding footballing talents in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League get rewarded for their excellence.

Vipers SC gaffer Alex Isabirye, Jackson Magera who traded his game at SC Villa last season and Maroons FC's Mohammed Ssenfuma will vie for the grand prize.

Three hugely tactical coaches will battle it out for the Pilsner Uganda Premier League Coach of the Season, after showcasing their might last campaign.

While Kayiwa was the top scorer with 13 goals at Express FC, Okello , who plied his trade at KCCA FC last season, provided the most assists (eight) in the league.

Forward Allan Kayiwa and playmaker Allan Okello will each take home a gong and a prize as reward for their respective excellence last campaign, at the Pilsner Uganda Premier League End of the Season awards.

Brian Umony - 2008, Robert Ssentongo - 2012, Joseph Ochaya - 2016, Geoffrey Sserunkuma - 2017, Cesar Manzoki - 2022 are some of the past winners of the UPL Player of the season Award.

KCCA FC midfielder Saidi Mayanja, SC Villa's Patrick Kakande and Maroons FC's Darius Ojok are vying for the coveted award.

Wakiso Giants FC's holding midfielder Lawrence Bukenya, Busoga United's star Laban Tibita and Arua Hill SC's Gaddafi Wahab were tussle it out for the Midfielder of the Season.

One of Vipers SC's defenders Hillary Mukundane, SC Villa's Gift Fred and Soltilo Bright Stars' Warren Buule, will walk home with the coveted award on July 6 at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.

Goalkeepers Simon Tamale formerly at Maroons FC, Soltilo Bright Stars FC's Hassan Matovu and URA FC skipper Nafian Alionzi will tussle it out for the prize.
