Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is set to miss the start of next season after he sustained a groin injury in training last week.
Benoit Badiashile has been one of the very few impactful signings made under Todd Boehly.
His aggressive play and ability to win duels have endeared him to the Chelsea faithful in a way few other recent signings have.
Chelsea suffer Badiashile injury blow
Badiashile is expected to be a key part of the incoming Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino's plans and this injury will come as a huge blow.
There were initial hopes the injury was not serious, but further tests have indicated that Badiashile could be out for four months.
The injury could require surgery, which would potentially lead to the former Monaco defender missing all of pre-season.
