Paul Pogba's Juventus debut has been delayed yet again after the midfielder suffered another injury setback, Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed.
Paul Pogba was seen warming up before the match against Monza at the weekend but he remained an unused substitute as Juventus suffered a shock defeat.
Pogba suffers setback
There was optimism about Pogba's debut coming against Lazio in the Coppa Italia but that has now been postponed.
Speaking about injuries ahead of the Lazio game, Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri said: "Apart from the long-term absentee Bonucci, Pogba will not be there due to soreness in his flexors. [Dusan] Vlahovic? He should play from the start."
Big picture for Pogba
Pogba has not played for Juve since returning to Turin from Manchester United as a free agent in 2022.
He suffered a serious knee injury and had to undergo surgery which ruled him out of the World Cup in Qatar and while he has since returned to training, he's still not ready to be involved in a match.
When fit and firing, Pogba has shown he can be a game-changer and he will be hoping to put his injury woes behind him completely.
Juventus, who saw a 15-point deduction for false accounting plunge them from third to 10th place in Serie A in January, will need to adjust to their new reality quickly and pick up as many points as possible.
