A famous Enugu Rangers fan has challenged Nigerian and Super Eagles icon Emmanuel Amunike and his Heartland side ahead of the Southeast derby against the champions in the NPFL.

A passionate Enugu Rangers supporter and well-known media influencer, Okwuluora, has thrown down the gauntlet to Super Eagles icon Emmanuel Amunike ahead of the highly anticipated Southeast derby in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The clash, set for this Sunday at the iconic Cathedral in Enugu, will see reigning champions Rangers lock horns with fierce rivals Heartland from Imo State.

Both teams are under pressure to deliver in this crucial encounter. Rangers, the Flying Antelopes, are desperate to halt a three-match winless streak, having suffered two defeats and a draw, while Heartland aim to build on their recent victory over Kano Pillars.

With bragging rights and vital points at stake, the stage is set for a fiery showdown in vibrant Coal City.

Okwuluora, a vocal Rangers fan, took to Facebook to issue a bold challenge to Amunike, who leads Heartland, and his squad.

“If Heartland beat Rangers in Enugu, I will leave Facebook for 3 months!” he declared, raising the stakes for the derby.

The matchup pits two tactical heavyweights against each other: Rangers’ coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, a Super Eagles assistant, and Amunike, a Nigerian football legend.
