FOOTBALL Shabana set deadline to announce new head coach
Shabana FC addresses poor performance, prepares to announce a new head coach, and vows to strengthen the squad in a bid for improvement.
However, in their recent clash against Tusker FC, John Njau was conspicuously absent from the goalposts.
Posta Rangers' head coach, John Kamau, shed light on his decision to field Kelvin Opiyo in place of Njau and Michael Wanjala as the goalkeeper substitute.
"What I always believe is that in our local scenario, when your goalkeeper plays eight to nine matches continuously, you will start finding some lapses in concentration," Coach Kamau explained. "Now, to reenergize him, we give him a break, and maybe in the next game, he will be back on the field of play."

These shutouts were achieved in matches against Bidco United on the first day of the season, Kenya Police FC on day two, and Njau's commendable streak of three consecutive clean sheets against Murang'a Seal, Kariobangi Sharks, before conceding against FC Talanta.
