Nigeria and Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was powerless as Serie A champions Inter Milan powered past Udinese in a game that had huge ramifications for the title race.

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye faced a challenging evening as Udinese fell 2-1 to Serie A champions Inter Milan in a tense encounter with significant implications for the title race.

Despite Okoye's efforts, Inter's attacking dominance proved too much for the mid-table Udinese side on Sunday.

Inter opened the scoring through Marko Arnautovic, who finished off a precise cross from Federico Dimarco in the first half.

Dimarco continued his stellar performance by setting up Davide Frattesi for Inter’s second goal, which came late in stoppage time to seal the victory.

Maduka Okoye conceded twice against Inter Milan.

Dimarco’s energetic runs and pinpoint deliveries were central to Inter’s success, as they dominated possession (59.4%) and outshot Udinese 8-1.

Udinese managed to pull one back through Solet, whose brilliant solo effort gave the hosts a glimmer of hope.

DiMarco was the tormentor-in-chief against Udinese.

However, Yann Sommer denied Udinese a late equaliser, saving Solet's near-post strike from a corner in added time. The missed opportunity left Udinese frustrated and unable to capitalise on their rare chances.

Okoye, who has been a key figure for Udinese this season, could do little to prevent Inter’s clinical finishes.

Inter march on.

The defeat leaves Udinese in 10th while Inter solidify their position at the top with a six-point gap, piling pressure on second-placed Napoli, who face city rival AC Milan later, in the race for the Scudetto.

The match also saw drama off the pitch, with Inter manager Simone Inzaghi receiving a red card in added time.

Despite this setback, Inter’s resilience ensured they secured all three points and maintained their momentum toward another league title.

For Okoye and Udinese, the focus will now shift to survival in the remaining fixtures. Meanwhile, Inter Milan march on, their sights firmly set on lifting another Serie A trophy.
