The top-four clash between AC Milan and Atalanta is the pick of the bunch in all the Serie A game week 24 action
Serie A action returns after a midweek interlude of European football and there are 10 games in this round spread across Saturday, February 25 to Tuesday the 28th.
The game to watch in Italy's top-flight this weekend is the exciting fixture between AC Milan and Atalanta, two teams who are involved in the entertaining top-four race.
AC Milan v Atalanta headlines Serie A round 24
AC Milan will host Atalanta in an exciting fixture that could prove pivotal in the race to finish the 2022/23 Serie A season in the top four.
Reigning champions Milan have not lived up to last season's performance but they seem to have overcome a hellish start to 2023 with recent positive results.
The Rossoneri have now won each of their last three games by a goal to nil, a massive improvement on the run of four straight defeats that preceded the good run of form which put them fourth on the log.
Atalanta on the other hand are sixth on the Serie A table, three points behind their hosts and they will be looking to make up that ground with a win on Sunday.
La Dea will be looking to halt a run of two defeats in their last three league games by getting Ademola Lookman firing again as the Nigerian forward has not scored in his last four games.
12 goals in 22 games in Serie A this season for Lookman is the third-best tally in the league which makes him the danger man for this one despite his recent barren run of games.
Osimhen and Napoli headline Serie A on Saturday
The first game in round 24 of Serie A will be played on Saturday when table-topping Napoli visit Empoli in a 6 pm kickoff.
The highflyers have a chance to increase their lead to 18 points with a likely win while top scorer Victor Osimhen also has a chance to extend his scoring run to eight league games.
The only other game on Saturday is between 13th-placed Lecce and Sassuolo who sit two places and three points behind in what promises to be a high-scoring fixture.
Serie A action on Sunday
There will be four Serie A games on Sunday spread across the regular kickoff times with Inter Milan visiting Bologna in the early kickoff.
Salernitana hosts in-form Monza in the afternoon kickoff after which Udinese lock horns with Spezia in the evening and the aforementioned AC Milan v Atalanta closing out the day with the late kickoff.
Monday night football in Serie A
Fiorentina and Lazio are being made to play on Monday because of their European commitments on Thursday as the former visits relegation-battling Hellas Verona while the latter welcomes Sampdoria to the Stadio Olimpico.
Turin derby closes game week 24 in Serie A
Cremonese will try to win a Serie A game this season for the 24th time on Tuesday evening but it is unlikely their search for that elusive first win will yield dividends against Jose Mourinho's high-flying Roma.
The Turin Derby is the last match of the game week to close out the action in style at the Allianz Stadium as seventh-placed Juventus host their ninth-placed rivals with just one point separating both teams.
