Maganda has largely featured in the lower divisions but has been touted as one of the future prospects, attracting the eyes of NEC’s newly-appointed coach Hussein Mbalangu.

NEC Football Club has gone for Proline goalkeeper Ismael Maganda as they continue to shape their squad for their debut in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

The youngster was part of the Proline’s squad that suffered relegation in the 2021/22 FUFA Big League season but is now poised for topflight football.

During that season, Maganda made seven appearances for Proline in their final seven games and managed to keep four clean sheets, conceding only thrice.

“We warmly welcome Maganda Ismael to NEC FC, where he will undoubtedly add strength and depth to our goalkeeping department,” the club announced their new recruit.

“We are excited to witness his growth and contribution as he embarks on this new chapter in his promising career,” the statement added.

Maganda has largely featured in the lower divisions but has been touted as one of the future prospects, attracting the eyes of NEC’s newly-appointed coach Hussein Mbalangu.
