After showing interest in the summer, PSG have reportedly made contact with the forward ahead of the January transfer window, setting the stage for a potentially complicated deal.
PSG miss out on Osimhen summer move
After it became apparent that he would leave Napoli, Osimhen was previously linked with PSG and Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
However, strained relations with Napoli, where he was ostracised from the first team, left him with limited options and he eventually joined Galatasaray after most European transfer windows had closed, avoiding a stint on the sidelines.
Since arriving in Turkey, Osimhen has rediscovered his scoring touch, netting 10 goals in 14 games and becoming a crucial part of Galatasaray’s attack.
His form has not gone unnoticed, with PSG reportedly making renewed efforts to bring him to the Parc des Princes.
PSG face challenges to sign Osimhen
While PSG’s interest is clear, securing Osimhen’s services in January will not be straightforward. The deal involves negotiations between PSG, Napoli, and Galatasaray, given the striker’s current loan agreement.
Additionally, PSG head coach Luis Enrique has previously expressed reluctance to sign a traditional No. 9, a stance that could complicate the French giants’ pursuit.
Osimhen, however, is reportedly open to the move, which could offer him a return to a top-five European league and a chance to shine in the Champions League. For PSG, the addition of a proven goal scorer could bolster their title push by strengthening their attack.
As January approaches, all eyes will be on the three clubs to see if a compromise can be reached to bring Osimhen to Paris.
