Auxerre were beaten by PSG at the Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamp Stadium as the French giants took a step closer to the Ligue 1 title.
PSG were six points ahead of their title rivals Lens heading into this game and did justice to Auxerre by beating them 2-1 on the night.

Two goals in quick succession in the first half from Kylian Mbappe gave PSG a comfortable lead going into the halftime break. Auxerre tried coming back in the second half and got an early goal through Lassine Sinayoko.

Paris Saint-Germain have set their sight on Napoli defender Min-Jae Kim as they look to snatch the deal from Manchester United.
PSG did not waste any time as they kicked off the game with the opening goal in the 6th minute when Kylian Mbappe received a super pass into the box and shot into the top right corner.
Two minutes later, the away side doubled their lead with another goal from Kylian Mbappe who finds some space just outside the penalty area after exchanging the ball with Lionel Messi and strikes a shot towards the goal that goes inside the right post.

Lionel Messi makes player of the season nominees despite PSG troubles
Lionel Messi and his teammate Kylian Mbappe have been named among the nominees for Ligue 1 team of the season.
Auxerre were not given any breathing space as the league leaders were too tough for them to contain in the first half.
The home side started the second half with more intensity and got a goal early on in the 51st minute when Nuno Da Costa headed the ball over the defence to Lassine Sinayoko, who met it nicely and fired it into the back of the net.
Auxerre’s effort to secure a draw against PSG failed as the away side added the third goal through Mbappe but was ruled out for offside.
The referee blew the final whistle as PSG maintained their six-point lead at the top of the table.
