PSG are reportedly interested in Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus Thuram.
Paris Saint-Germain are reported to have set their sights on the Bundesliga for attacking talents, and they are said to have France World Cup stars Randal Kolo Muani and Marcus Thuram on their shopping list.
Both players particularly shone for France in the World Cup final, coming on as substitutes in the game to help Les Bleus come back from a two-goal deficit to force the game into extra time.
Their outstanding performances for their club teams—Muani at Eintracht Frankfurt and Thuram at Borussia Monchengladbach—facilitated their inclusion in France’s squad at the tournament.
PSG target Muani
French publication L'Equipe reported earlier today that PSG are interested in pricing Kolo Muani away from Frankfurt, as he is of interest to sporting director Luis Campos.
The French juggernauts believe Muani fits their needs and are excited about the possibility of signing him because of his special connection with Kylian Mbappe.
The duo, alongside PSG's other target, Thuram, helped France fight back from two goals down to force the game into extra time before losing on shootouts, with Muani winning the penalty for Mbappe's first goal and Thuram setting up the equaliser.
However, Muani, who has set the Bundesliga alight this season since joining from Nantes in the summer with 20 goal contributions in 20 games, is expected to be an expensive option, as Frankfurt have slapped a €100 million price tag on him.
PSG would face competition from clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich, who are also reported to be keeping tabs on him.
PSG's interest in Thuram
Due to the massive financial outlay that would be required for a possible Muani transfer, PSG are said to have marked Monchengladbach's Marcus Thuram as a cheaper alternative.
The 25-year-old forward is currently running down his current deal, which expires in June this year, and would be available to join on a free transfer.
Thuram joined Monchengladbach from French side Guingamp in the summer of 2019 and has since scored 42 goals in 14 games for Die Fohlen, eleven of which came in the Bundesliga this season.
