According to reports, Chelsea are set to receive a huge bonus from Eden Hazard’s clause after moving to Real Madrid in 2019.
Hazard signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid for an initial payment of £88 million, which was set to expire this summer.
Due to lucrative possible add-ons, the package may have cost up to £150 million, of which £130 million had already been earned, depending on performance.
Hazard may have hung up his boots seven months ago, but those bonuses are still valid through the end of his initial contract.

Madrid to pay Chelsea
Eden Hazard retired in October of last year, but a provision in his 2019 transfer to Real Madrid guaranteed Chelsea a huge bonus.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea is expected to receive ₦7.6 billion (£5 million) because Madrid has advanced to the Champions League final.
One of the smartest transfers in recent football history is the 28-year-old Hazard's sale to Real Madrid before the 2019–20 season.
However, he failed to live up to the expectation having played four seasons and managed 76 games in all competitions.
He was injury-plagued for most of his playing days at Madrid having scored just seven times and provided 12 assists.
Before his move to Madrid, he did an incredible 21 goals and 17 assists in his last season at Stamford Bridge.
During his seven years at Chelsea, the winger won two Premier Leagues, two Europa Leagues, an FA Cup, and an EFL Cup, making him one of the best players in the world.
After a horrific injury experience, he announced his retirement from football last summer when his contract was terminated.
