Both forwards have been linked with a move to sign for the European giants in the summer.

Real Madrid are considering a move for Brazil international Roberto Firmino as an emergency transfer.

Firmino has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu since he confirmed his departure from Liverpool. But the forward is viewed as an emergency option should Real Madrid fail to sign French sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Firimino’s eight-year Liverpool stay came to an end after the conclusion of the season, and he is looking for the next adventure. He was trusted by Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, as he was a key player in most of the seasons he was with the Reds.

He won the Champions League and the Premier League with the Merseyside outfit.

Following Karim Benzema’s move to Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid will need to sign a centre-forward and one of those who had been tipped to fill the void is Firmino, but that move is not straightforward.

The LALIGA giants will prefer to sign Mbappe after reports indicated the French star would not extend his deal with Paris Saint-Germain. His deal is expiring next season, and he could make a move in the coming window.

But even a move for Mbappe is not going to be easy, and Real Madrid must have their eyes elsewhere, and Firmino is one of those highly linked to arrive at Santiago Bernabeu should Mbappe fail to sign.
