Kenyan international Erick ‘Marcelo’ Ouma was handed his marching orders after a brawl in the fiercely contested Stockholm Derby between AIK and Djurgarden that ended in a 1-0 loss.
The melee occurred at the stroke of the 90th minute when Axel Bjornstrom swang a foot at Piotr Johansson which sparked a mass brawl that involved almost all outfield players.

Marcelo joined in the chaos and appeared to put his hands around Djurgarden midfielder Besard Sabovic’s throat which led to him being sent for an early shower alongside his teammate Bjornstrom.
The 26-year-old revealed that he chocked Sabovic in self-defense, claiming he was first hit by the midfielder and answered “yes” when asked if he put his hands on the Djurgarden player.
“He hit me. I don't know how the referee didn't see that. I don't know his name, Sabovic or something like that.
“Yes, because I needed to defend myself. No no (he was not hurt) but I needed to defend myself,” said Marcelo in an interview with Fotboll Skanalen.
