And Ogunmodede, who has guided Remo Stars to back-to-back second-place finishes in the NPFL after losing to Rangers last season, has made it clear that his primary objectives are to end the club's wait for a league championship and impress on the CAF Champions League stage.
'The target is to win the league and go far on the continent,' the 42-year-old told the club after putting pen to paper on his new deal.
Remo Stars' decision to retain Ogunmodede's services is a major boost, with the in-demand manager sure to have attracted interest from other clubs following his impressive work in Ikenne.
The club's CEO lavished praise on Ogunmodede's 'work rate and professionalism', and expressed his confidence that the contract extension will yield success for the Sky Blue Stars.
'For us at Remo Stars, we are glad that he is still here, he has done a marvelous job and we hope that he can do better. That's why we are extending the contract,' Adedoyin Ogungbefun said.
Ogunmodede, who has also secured Remo Stars' qualification for the CAF Champions League and wants to see more money in the NPFL, admitted that the new deal is a 'big motivation' for him as he looks to lead the club to glory.
'Saying I am glad is an understatement, I am happy the club can see what I have done so far and to have counted me worthy to have an extension is a big motivation for me,' the Nigerian tactician said.
The Remo Stars boss paid tribute to his staff and players, acknowledging their role in the club's recent achievements.
'My thanks, of course, go to my staff and my players; without their empathy and friendship, this wouldn't be possible. I love my players and it is a pleasure to know that we are going to be together for at least the next three years.'
With Ogunmodede now firmly committed to the club, Remo Stars will be confident of challenging for the NPFL title and making a strong impression in the CAF Champions League in the seasons ahead.
