2018 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) top scorer Junior Lokosa has reportedly completed a transfer switch to Remo Stars in a move that sees the Ikenne club strengthen their attacking line.
The Ikenne club who have scored only eight goals in 9 matches in the NPFL this season are currently, 5th in Group A.
After the league went on a mid-season break after game week 9 fixtures, Remo Stars boss Danel Ogunmodede confirmed that he was intent on signing new strikers.
Lokosa signs for Remo Stars
Now, multiple reports have suggested that the Ikenne club have gotten the services of Lokosa n a free transfer ahead of the start of the second round of the league.
The 29-year-old was the top scorer in the Nigerian top flight in 2018, scoring 19 goals while with Kano Pillars.
He has since then, gone on to play for four-time CAF Champions League winners Esperance, Tanzanian giants Simba, Kwara United upon return to the Nigerian top flight in 2021, and Saudi Arabian club Al Rayyan.
Remo Stars profile ahead of NPFL return
The Sky Blue Stars had an explosive January, winning three of their first-round matches and scoring five goals while maintaining clean sheets in those fixtures.
Unfortunately, since defeating Shooting Stars in game week three, the Blues' fortunes have turned sour, winning only one of their last six games.
In that period, Remo has also only managed to score three goals and have conceded nine, including two in their final game with Nasarawa United before the mid-season break.
