Mason Greenwood reportedly eyes a move to Barcelona amid interest from top European clubs.

Mason Greenwood, Manchester United's talented loanee, is currently making waves in La Liga with Getafe. The young forward has caught the eye of several top clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid, thanks to his impressive performances.

Greenwood, after a challenging phase in his career, has managed to turn things around, showcasing his prowess on the Spanish football stage.

Greenwood's Barcelona Dream

Reports from The Sun indicate that Greenwood has set his sights on a move to Barcelona. The 22-year-old, who has contributed to seven goals in his 16 appearances in La Liga, is said to have informed his advisors that a transfer to Camp Nou would be a dream come true.

Barcelona, on their end, are reportedly eager to sign Greenwood, seeing him as a player who could elevate their team to the next level.

The Sun quotes, "The United outcast has informed his representatives that he sees Camp Nou as a 'dream' destination, with Barca officials confident he has all the qualities to take the team to the 'next level'."

Manchester United's Position and Future Plans

Manchester United, under the new partial ownership of INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, appear ready to part ways with Greenwood.

The Sun's report suggests that United is looking to sell him outright, marking the start of a new chapter for the club. Despite his current contract running until 2025, Greenwood's future at Old Trafford seems uncertain, especially after the club decided against reintegrating him into the first team following public backlash.

The Sun states, "Greenwood saw charges for attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm dropped in February last year and remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2025, but United performed a U-turn on reintegrating him back into the first team squad after a public backlash."

For now, Greenwood's focus remains on his current responsibilities at Getafe, including their upcoming home fixture against Granada. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how this potential move to Barcelona unfolds and what it means for Greenwood's career trajectory.
