Manchester United have reportedly registered interest in former Chelsea star Timo Werner.
Manchester United have reportedly opened a line of communication with Bundesliga side Leipzig to discuss the possible transfer of former Chelsea striker Timo Werner in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old Germany international had a difficult time during his last stint in the Premier League for Chelsea, scoring only ten times in 56 games before making a return to Leipzig.

What happened
Werner pushed for a move back to the Bundesliga after a torrid time at Chelsea; however, he has failed to return to the anticipated heights he sustained during his first spell, which earned him the transfer to the Premier League in the first place.
The former Stuggart forward has only started two league games for Marco Rose’s side this season, and according to Sky Sports, he is frustrated with his current situation, and his feet are itching.
Manchester United are reportedly attentive to the situation and are said to have made inquiries over a possible move in the January transfer window.
Although the Red Devils are yet to send in an offer, Werner’s arrival could serve to replace Jadon Sancho’s place in the team, who, as Pulse Sports reports, is expected to leave Old Trafford this winter. Juventus have reportedly sent an initial offer to Manchester for the signing of the ostracised winger as well.
The 23-year-old last played for the Red Devils in August, as he was banished from the first-team squad following his falling out with Dutch manager Erik ten Hag. He is expected to leave the club this January, and Juventus are said to be keen.
