Lukaku respects Osimhen
Romelu Lukaku joined Napoli at the end of the summer transfer window and turned down the chance to wear Victor Osimhen's No. 9 shirt.
According to reports from Tuttonapoli and Il Mattino, Lukaku declined Napoli's invitation to wear the No. 9 shirt out of respect for Osimhen.
Everyone seemed to believe that the Nigerian international still owned the No. 9 shirt even if he is not on the Serie A team.
The 31-year-old opted for the number 11 jersey, which he was seen wearing during his debut against Parma.
Lukaku's Napoli career got off to a great start against Parma as he scored an equaliser to kickstart a comeback for his team.
He scored in the 92nd minute, giving Napoli a lead that lasted until Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa's 96th-minute victory.
Napoli went on to seal a 2-1 victory over Parma in the Serie A, making it their second win in a row.
