Thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC have reportedly moved separate ways with highly rated forward, Charles Lwanga 'Neymar'
The St Mary's Secondary School, Kitende (SMASK) graduate has departed after the two parties agreed on mutual consent, according to Sports Nation.
It is believed that despite not being in new head coach Sergio Traguil's plans, the club honchos wanted him to stay.
The player however decided to look for greener pastures, where he will perhaps get more playing time, even with an option for a loan deal.
His contract still had a year left but will now have to trade at another club come next season.
Lwanga has struggled to nail a regular starting berth at KCCA over the past three years, since making the move in 2020.
The striker managed 55 league appearances across three seasons, netting 17 times.
He is a former player at Kirinya Soccer Academy and Uganda Premier League record holders SC Villa.
He is set to follow 11 other players, who have been released by the club in the ongoing transfer window.
KCCA has already parted ways with Allan Okello, Benjamin Ochan, Ali Mwirusi, Geoffrey Wasswa, Mustafa Kizza, Brian Aheebwa, Brian Kayanja, Brian Majwega, Denis Iguma, Emmanuel Wasswa and Muhammed Ssenoga Kagawa.
