Uganda Premier League newbies NEC FC are continuing to strengthen their ranks ahead of the second round, which is slated to get underway in February.
Having reached an agreement to sign former KCCA FC goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan days back, the latter is set for unveiling.
The length of his contract is still unclear, but reports have indicated it will be short-term till the end of the campaign.
The 34-year-old was released by KCCA FC after the expiry of his contract last season and has been a free agent since.
If the deal is finalized, Ochan will carry with him a wealth of experience into the NEC set-up, having played at the top level for a while now.
He will vie for a starting berth with the less experienced Samson Kiirya, Michael Okiria and Ismail Maganda.
Having featured for teams like KCCA, Bloemfontein Celtic, Villa SC, Victoria University SC, Kabwe Warriors and AFC Leopards, Ochan is tried and tested at the top level.
NEC, who have conceded 19 goals in 15 games, sit seventh with 24 points on the Uganda Premier League table.
