Following his departure from KCCA FC, defender Godffrey Wasswa has attracted interest from four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC.
Wasswa, who was one of the finest players in his position last season, has parted ways with the Kasasiro Boys after failing to reach an agreement.
The turn of events has thus triggered long-time admirers URA into plotting to secure the Uganda Cranes defender's services, according to his representatives.
There's also interest from two sides outside the country and despite the source refusing to disclose the names, Rayon Sport FC of Rwanda has previously been reported.
Despite missing out on the three-man nomination list for the defender of the season, Wasswa was hugely impressive last campaign.
He played all games but one in the previous Uganda Premier League season, alongside multiple partners, who included among others, Peter Magambo and Mustafa Mujuzi.
He has spent two years at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, summing up 31 league games over two seasons. The first was hampered by a lengthy injury.
Wasswa has previously featured for six-time league champions Vipers Sports Club and record holders SC Villa.
