The Catalan giants will reportedly not shy away from the idea of a player-exchange deal with Inter Milan.
The rumours of a swap deal between Barcelona and Inter Milan, which would see Franck Kessie and Marcelo Brozovic swap teams, have increasingly continued in the last two weeks.
Franck Kessie has been at the club for just six months but has found it difficult to break into Xavi’s Starting XI.
However, due to high level of competition in Barca’s new-look midfield, middle and his slowness to adapt, a potential exit has appeared likely for the Ivorian midfielder.
Inter reportedly want Kessie in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic
Serie A giants Inter have been hot on the trails of Kessie for sometime now and reportedly want to sign him this January to strengthen their midfield department.
Barcelona, on the other hand are seeking Brozovic (30), as part of the deal, with the experienced Croatian midfielder being seen as a short-term replacement for the aging Sergio Busquets.
Reports have further claimed that Kessie's (26) switch to Inter Milan would largely depend on Barcelona’s ability to convince the midfielder to leave this month, as per Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio says that Barça would need to inform Kessie that he is not a part of their plans and their wish to offload him, and if the midfielder is convinced that an exit is the best possible route for him, only then will the operation be possible.
Inter on the other hand as well would also have to see whether Brozovic would be open to making the switch as well.
