The match against Kakamega Homeboyz was abandoned due to crowd trouble.

Football Kenya Federation Disciplinary Committee's stadium ban on AFC Leopards' fans has been set aside by the Sports Disputes Tribunal and they will now play their match on Sunday against Nzoia Sugar with supporters.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) had imposed a four-match ban on fans from AFC leopards' matches after the fracas highlighted their match against Kakamega Homeboyz earlier in April.

Leopards have now confirmed the decision by the John Ohaga-chaired Tribunal that gave the verdict in their favor on Thursday.

"The ruling by the FKF Leagues and Competition Committee that banned fans from attending our home matches has been suspended, this allows our fans to attend our next match vs Nzoia Sugar on May 7 2023," the club posted in a statement.

Ingwe appealed against the decision, which was successful, pending an appeal lodged by administrators from the team.

Apart from the ban, AFC Leopards have docked three points and fined Ksh 500,000 following crowd trouble that led to abandoning the league match played at Bukhungu Stadium on April 13.

The club was also required to pay for the medical expenses of centre referee Michael Obuya who was allegedly assaulted by fans.

The football governing body also opened disciplinary proceedings on Leopards' coach Patrick Aussems and Lawrence Webo for their conduct during the match.

On the other hand, Kakamega Homeboyz were awarded a maximum of three points from the match and a 2-0 win.

Sports Tribunal is understood to have listened to all the grievances that Leopards Management raised on FKF Leagues and the Competition Committee hearing set to continue in the days.

AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems will look for the club's 12th win after a 1-0 loss to Ulinzi Stars on Wednesday.
