Kevin De Bruyne marked his return to Premier League action with a masterful goal and assist to lead Manchester City to a 3-2 win against Newcastle United.
How it happened
Alexander Isak played a key role in the second minute, setting up Sean Longstaff for a goal that was ruled out for offside. However, the collision with Ederson left the City goalkeeper injured.
Man City soon found their rhythm, with Bernardo Silva scoring the opener in the 26th minute. Despite Silva's brilliant effort being tipped onto the woodwork by Nick Pope, Newcastle took the lead with two outstanding goals from Isak and Anthony Gordon.
Man City pressed for an equalizer, and Kevin De Bruyne, making his return, found the net in the 69th minute.
Oscar Bobb, another substitute, secured the win with his first Premier League goal, extending Man City's winning streak to six. Newcastle, despite their efforts, suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat.
