It was during that tournament that Okoth scouted Omala, and the retired footballer has revealed how he struggled to get a club for the in-form K’Ogalo forward.
"In 2019, I equally met and worked with Omalla as the Chapa Dimba national finals mentor/scout courtesy of Safaricom," Okoth said in a post on his Twitter handle.
"We tried to contact a few clubs, but none were willing to give these champs (alongside Ulinzi Stars' Lucas Maina) a chance."
