Footballers are also known as celebrities but most of them have other lifestyles aside from playing on the pitch.
He currently occupies the top spot among a select group of British players that also includes expensive players like Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho, and Ben White.
To assess how well they have performed, Pulse Sports looks at the top 5 most expensive British players ever.
1. Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham has recently smashed the transfer record of the most expensive British footballer of all time after signing for Real Madrid for a fee of £115 million.
The midfielder still has at least a decade in the game ahead of him at the age of 19, when he has yet to reach his peak.
However, the little he has done during his days at Dortmund shows how good he is and how good he is going to be when he reaches his peak.
He has 124 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, including some as captain, and 24 senior England caps under his belt, so he is more than capable of handling himself on the biggest stage.
2. Jack Grealish
Manchester City Jack Grealish was bought from Aston Villa for a huge sum of £100 million in 2021 and becomes the second most expensive British player.

Marcus Rashford dumps childhood sweetheart after 9-year relationship
Marcus Rashford's fairytale romance with partner Lucia Loi comes to an end after being together since their high school days.
The winger impressed during his spell at Aston Villa which drew Man City’s attention and made him their most expensive player.
Grealish struggled during his first season at the Etihad but has since cemented his place among Pep Guardiola's most crucial players.
It would be fair to conclude that his £100 million transfer fee was justified given that he made 50 appearances for the Citizens this season and helped them win the treble.
3. Harry Maguire
Maguire moved from Leicester to Manchester United in 2019 for a fee of £85 million making him the third most expensive British player in our list.
Since his move to United, he has made 175 appearances for the Red Devils, but his performance there has not always been positive.
This season, the defender's poor run of form caused him to lose favour with his new manager Erik Ten Hag.
And he is now anticipated to leave this summer for a lot less money than what he was originally purchased for.
4. Jadon Sancho
Sancho, another high-profile acquisition for Man Utd, joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £75 million.

Onana: 3 reasons why Chelsea want the Inter Milan goalkeeper who stood out against Man City
Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has been a stand-out personality for his team this season and he is currently on the radar of Chelsea who are looking to sign him according to reports.
The tricky winger has also struggled to prove his worth at the club after a poor performance last season.
In his debut season at Old Trafford, he had trouble settling in, scoring just five goals in 38 games.
Sancho's inconsistent play persisted throughout the 2022–23 season, while injuries and sickness also had an impact on his performance.
5. Ben White
The defender rounds out our list of the most expensive British footballers by moving from Brighton to Arsenal in 2021 for a fee of £50 million.
White soon established himself as a pillar of Mikel Arteta's team, despite the doubts of many fans over his price tag.
He is now considered as one of Arsenal's key players after giving a solid performance last season.
White, who participated in all 38 games, was essential to Arsenal's run for the Premier League title last season.
As it stands, these are our top five most expensive British Footballers of all time. However, we are still expecting more English players to move to other clubs, especially Declan Rice who could move to Arsenal this summer for a fee worth £90 million.
