The Ugandan forward has mutually parted ways with Danish side AC Horsens just eight months after leaving Gor Mahia.
Former Gor Mahia forward Rogers Mugisha has parted ways with Danish side AC Horsens just eight months after joining the club.
Mugisha, who joined the Danish outfit in January after a brief but impactful stint with Gor Mahia, saw his contract terminated by mutual consent, according to a statement released by the club on Monday.
The Ugandan forward had been highly anticipated in Denmark, particularly after his standout performances at the 2023 U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where he was one of Uganda's star players.

Benson Omala: Trouble in paradise for ex-Gor Mahia striker as Lebanon move hits snag
Benson Omala has returned to Kenya just weeks after a move to Lebanese side Al-Safa, raising questions over the future of the former Gor Mahia striker.
His efforts on the pitch earned him the Man of the Match title in Uganda's clash against the Central African Republic, as well as a spot in the Best XI of the tournament's group stages.
However, despite the promising start, things did not go as planned for the talented winger in Denmark.
AC Horsens, currently competing in the Danish second division after their relegation from the top flight last season, cited stiff competition for offensive positions as a key factor in the decision to part ways with Mugisha.
"We have a lot of competition for the offensive places in AC Horsens, and there was no prospect of playing time for Rogers Mugisha. Therefore, we have decided to part ways on good terms, and we wish him all the best," said AC Horsens Sporting Director Esben Hansen.

FKFPL Johnathan McKinstry confirms imminent departure of Gor Mahia forward to Denmark
The Gor Mahia forward is finalizing a transformative transfer to a top Danish football club.
Mugisha’s move to Horsens had initially been seen as a significant step in his young career, especially after his impressive spell with Gor Mahia.
The 20-time Kenyan champions had received a lucrative offer for the player leading to his early departure from the FKF Premier League just six months into his one-year contract.
During his time at Gor Mahia, Mugisha quickly became a regular starter under coach Johnathan McKinstry, who utilized him both on the wing and in midfield.

Why Gor Mahia coach will not count his chickens as he prepares charges for monumental task against 'Real Madrid of Africa'
Neiva believes his charges have "work to do" if they are to stand a chance of overcoming Al Ahly after they easily tossed aside South Sudan's El Merreikh Bentiu 5-1 on Sunday,
His contributions were vital to the team until a hamstring injury, sustained in a match against Bidco United last October, sidelined him for over a month.
Despite the setback Mugisha remained a key figure upon his return further increasing his stock before his eventual move to Europe.
AC Horsens, who currently sit second in the 12-team Danish second division standings with 13 points from seven matches, had hoped that Mugisha would bring the same spark to their squad.
Unfortunately, with limited playing time and stiff competition, the Ugandan star found it difficult to make a lasting impact.
