Dennis Onyango's side has managed one win in their last five league outings, including their previous game against Amazulu, where they surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 on Wednesday night.

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena has allayed fans and the public’s fears about the club’s recent performance in the Premier Soccer League.

Dennis Onyango's side has managed one win in their last five league outings, including their previous game against Amazulu, where they surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 on Wednesday night.

Mokwena says the situation is not worrying; on the contrary, there are a lot of positives to pick from.

“I am definitely disappointed with the result but not with the performance,” Mokwena told Sundowns media.

"I think we got more positives like the chances we created, the rhythm and the good transitions as well.”

“Many more players also got run outs. Usually, when we change the team, we don’t play well, but today we did, which is great for me,” he added.

Mamelodi Sundowns won the DSTV Premiership with six games to spare, but they have since blown hot and cold, picking up one win and four draws in as many games, conceding three goals in the process.

With two match days left, the Brazilians will be expected to wrap up the campaign on a high against Ismael Watenga’s Marumo Gallants and Maritzburg United.

The 2016 CAF Champions League winners are also in the semi-finals of the prestigious interclub competition, where they face defending champions Wydad Casablanca.
