Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada has now scored in back-to-back games for his new Danish side following Friday’s stunning goal
Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada scored a brilliant goal as he rescued a point for Aalborg who came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Sonderjyske in the Danish second division on Friday night.
Just returning from Harambee Stars duty, Odada was deployed in a two-man midfield in what was his second straight start for the Danish side and he gave a good account of himself.
Playing in a box-to-box role, Odada had the freedom to roam forward and link up play as well as set up chances for his team-mates and did not hesitate to take his opportunity when it came.
In a game where chances were few and far between, especially in the first half, Aalborg had a goal by Younes Bakiz canceled for offside, before the home team's Peter Christiansen took advantage of a free runner shortly before the break to put Sonderjyske 1-0 ahead.
However, seven minutes after the break, Odada equalised with a superb strike when he sent the ball into the far corner of the goal from the edge of the box for his second goal in as many games for his new team.

STARS ABROAD: Richard Odada scores for Aalborg in his first start for Danish side
The Harambee Stars midfielder opened his account for his new side as he nodded home after eight minutes in what was his first start for Aalborg
It was also the first game that Odada played all 90 minutes and he seems to have forced his way into coach Oscar Hiljemark’s plans going forward.
Odada scored his first goal for Aalborg when they claimed a 3-1 victory against Kolding IF just before the international break.
The Kenyan was also deployed in a two-man midfield as Hiljemark went with a 3-4-3 formation which the tactician stuck with on Friday.
Odada, who joined Aalborg from MLS side Philadelphia Union on a season-long loan last month, could make his move permanent given the impressive displays especially if Aalborg earn promotion back to the top division next season.
