Rodri made the 30-man shortlist for this year's award, following an impressive year that saw him win the Premier League and Euro 2024.

Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri has a strong claim to win the Ballon d'Or after winning the Premier League and Euro 2024.

Ferdinand believes Rodri needs to make one key change to take home the coveted prize.
"I just think he needs to put a number ten on his back and he might win it," Ferdinand said, via Eurosport.
"That's the only thing - he's arguably the most complete footballer on the planet."
Ferdinand heaped praise on Rodri's consistency and all-around ability.
"He's the most consistent, arguably. I would have him as that. If he wins it, there'll be no arguments.
Every area of his game is an eight or nine out of ten at the moment, and it's been like that for maybe three years."

Rodri is up against several stars including Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Atalanta's Ademola Lookman.
