Rivers United duo deservedly take their places in the CAFCC team of the week after an excellent display vs Diables Noirs.
African football governing body CAF has revealed its CAFCC team of the week with Rivers United duly represented.
Rivers United have two players included in the team of the week after booking their place in the CAFCC quarterfinal.
United came from a goal down to share the spoils following a 2-2 draw with visitors, Diables Noirs, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.

Nwagua, Onojo rep Rivers United
In the team made available by CAF on Monday after the latest round of matches, Rivers United dominated the team with two players alongside Yanga SC.

United’s hero of the day, Nyima Nwagua and midfielder, Joseph Onoja were rewarded for their outstanding performances against Diables Noirs.
Nwagua produced the goals when he scored two goals in the space of four second half minutes while Onoja was excellent on the wings where he created one chance, assisted one of the goals and completed seven take-ons.
The double from Nwagua ensured Rivers United got the valuable point needed to seal a ticket to the quarterfinal of the CAFCC.

United and ASEC Mimosas have both qualified from Group B after taking 10 points from a possible 15 available.
Both teams will go head-to-head in the final game of the group stage to determine who finishes as Group B winners.
Nwagua reacts
Meanwhile, two-goal hero, Nwagua, has reacted to his deserved CAFCC team of the week appearance.
The former Kano Pillars striker has dedicated the award to fans of his club, Rivers United for their support.
“(I am) proud to make TotalEnergiesCAFCC team of the week,” Nwagua posted on his official social media account.
“This (award) is for my fans and Rivers United fans,” the experienced forward added.
