The Tanzanian giants have confirmed the appointment of Dutchman Mels Daalder as the club’s Chief scout in an announcement made on Wednesday afternoon via the club’s Twitter handle.
"I have received many proposals but decided to stay here because I love Simba," he added.
Robertinho also believes he needs a deeper squad, adding that his objective is to have two top players in every position so that they can compete favourably and provide cover for each other.
"My objective is to have two players in every position; for example, if Saido (Ntibazonkiza) or Muzamiru (Yasin) don't play, I have replacements who can perform equally well."
"So, we need to prepare a strong team with good balance," he added.
Simba, who recently confirmed Dutch citizen Mels Daalder as the head of scouting, has already started preparing for the upcoming season.
Having gone two straight campaigns without any silverware, the pressure is on for the Tanzanian giants to reclaim the top spot even more because arch-rivals Young Africans are on the verge of winning an interclub title.
Young Africans face Algeria's USM Algers in the two-legged CAF Confederation Cup.
