Cristiano Ronaldo sets another outstanding record as he powered Al-Nassr to victory over Al-Akhdood.
Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo continues to add to his CV as the greatest goalscorer of all time, as his latest brace in Al-Nassr’s victory over Al-Akhdood helped him set another tremendous record.
The 38-year-old is refusing to slow down, as he is on par with strikers in their prime like Erling Haaland and Harry Kane for most goals scored this calendar year and has 61 goal contributions in the period in review. He is the current top scorer in the Saudi Arabian top flight and has now further cemented his legend.

Al Nassr 3-0 Al-Akhdood
The Faris Najd continued their chase behind league leaders Al-Hilal with the victory against their visitors, and 26-year-old midfielder Sami Najei started the scoring on the day.
Akhdood held back the Riyadh-based side for a huge chunk of the game after the opener, but their resistance soon broke and the unstoppable Ronaldo piled on.
He doubled his side’s lead in the 77th minute, capitalising on a goalkeeping error. Three minutes later, he scored the third goal of the game and his brace, firing a stunning lob shot from range to beat the strayed Paulo Vitor.
Ronaldo’s sets goalscoring record
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s goals mean he is now the all-time top scorer in the history of first-division league football.
He equalled the record, which was previously held by both Ferenc Puskas and Josef Bican (515 goals) in the victory over Al-Wehda two weeks ago.
His brace took him to 517 goals in top-flight league football history, and he has now eclipsed both of the retired legends. It also means he is 20 top-flight league goals clear of his sworn rival Lionel Messi, who is on 497 goals.
