Ex-Romanian international Adrian Mutu has provided some insights into why Cristiano Ronaldo does not plan to retire any time soon.

What Mutu said
With Ronaldo having already achieved so much, his insistence on playing while he could retire and enjoy his hard-earned legacy surprises many, not former Chelsea forward Mutu.
Mutu said that the reason Ronaldo does not have retirement on his mind at the moment is because he wants to share a football pitch with his son.
"That's his real motivation. The fact he wants to play an official match with his boy and that's why he doesn't give up,” Mutu told iAM SPORT.
"Well, at Al Nassr, it's possible. If he was at another team, I don't know, Real Madrid, it would be more difficult. But to play a half (together), in a year, I don't think it's impossible."
The NBA is set to witness a father and son on the same team next season after the Los Angeles Lakers drafted LeBron James’s son, Bronny. Ronaldo’s son is currently 14, and with the remarkable youth players debuting these days—Barcelona’s Yamal at 15 is an example—the alleged dream could well be in reach.
