Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim is set to succeed Erik ten Hag at Manchester United but the Red Devils faithful will have to wait a little longer to see him at Old Trafoord.
Ruben Amorim is close to being appointed as Manchester United's new manager but will not begin work immediately.
The 39-year-old is set to succeed Erik Ten Hag at Old Trafford by signing a two-and-a-half-year contract worth £6.5million-a-year with the option of a 12-month extension.

Amorim has verbally agreed personal terms with the Red Devils.
However, Amorim will not be able to join United until the start of the international break on November 10. Caretaker boss Ruud van Nistelrooy, who guided Manchester to the Carabao Cup 5-2 win over Leicester City on Wednesday October 30, will remain in temporary charge for three more games against Chelsea, PAOK Salonika and Leicester.
According to the Daily Mail, United are expected to pay £9.2million for the Portuguese. Amorim, who guided Sporting CP to two Portuguese league titles in his promising career, will become United's sixth permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

Van Nistelrooy's role in the new setup remains unclear, but the Dutchman insisted he wants to remain at Old Trafford. "I came here as an assistant to help the club.
