Chelsea fans on social media are all singing the same anthem following another consecutive collapse in the Premier League.
Chelsea travelled to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham in Matchday 25 in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, February 26, 2023.
The Blues were hoping to bounce back from their home defeat against Southampton last weekend when they took on their London rivals.
Despite dominating possession, the visitors only managed one attempt on goal in the first 45 minutes as they struggled to really test Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris.
The closing stages of the first half was quite dramatic as Chelsea thought they had been reduced to 10 men following an initial red card shown to Hakim Ziyech over a clash with Emerson.
However, after a VAR check, Staurt Attwell was forced to change his decision, and instead showed Ziyech a Yellow for his outburst.
Both sides would eventually go into the break with nothing to separate them after the first 45 minutes.
Second Half
However, the hosts came out firing in the second period and opened the scoring a minute after the restart with Oliver Skipp finding the back of the net with a brilliant effort to put Tottenham 1-0 up.
Graham Potter’s men tried to create chances and find the leveller, but were often caught cheaply in possession in the opening 10 minutes after the restart.
Things got worse for the Blues as Spurs grabbed a second minutes after Heung Min-Son came on for the hosts.
Harry Kane found the back of the net after Eric Dier flicked on a corner from Son in the 82nd minute in a goal that pretty much settled the encounter.
And after six minutes of added time in stoppage, Graham Potter’s men just had no answer as they recorded another loss in the Premier League.
The result leaves Chelsea in 10th place on the summit while Spurs have moved into fourth place, four points ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle who face Manchester United later in the finals of the EFL Cup on Sunday.
