The worst-case scenario for Anaku's injury implies he would unlikely play for Dundee United again until around January or February 2024.

According to Courier.uk, the club had feared such severe damage would require surgery before the player decided to organic recovery.

Despite struggling to hold down a first-team berth at Tannadice last season, Anaku still managed 16 appearances, most of which were substitute cameos.

While he was yet to manage a goal for the first team, he played many games and scored numerous times for their Reserve Team.

In the senior team, along with 17-year-old Rory MacLeod, Anaku was deputy to former English Premier League star Steven Fletcher.

Meanwhile, Sadat Anaku left for Dundee at the start of the 2022/23 campaign from KCCA FC, signing a three-year employment contract in Scotland.

He is viewed as a massive prospect for the future at the club, who were relegated to the Scottish second division last season.
