Liverpool continued their fine start to the season with a solid 2-0 win over Brentford at Anfield.
Arne Slot's first game at Anfield couldn't have gone much better as his Reds made easy work of Brentford, winning 2-0 thanks to impressive attacking displays from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool make it 2 from 2
Liverpool took an early lead after just 13 minutes, capitalising on Brentford sending too many men forward.
Diogo Jota broke clear and slipped in Luis Díaz, who fired past Mark Flekken to send the Anfield crowd into delirium.
The hosts dominated the first half, looking sharp as they moved the ball around but despite their control, they failed to add to their lead. Alisson was barely tested, making a routine save just before halftime.
After the break, Liverpool continued to press, with Andrew Robertson's header forcing Flekken into a fine save, and the hosts' pressure eventually paid off as Mohamed Salah stayed onside to delicately slot past Flekken, sealing the win.
There was still time for substitute Cody Gakpo to hit the post as Arne Slot's men chased a third goal.
Another strong start to the season means Liverpool have lost just one of their last 24 PL fixtures played in August (W17, D6).
It was a disappointing display from Brentford who clearly struggled without a focal point in attack as star man Ivan Toney continues to push for a move away.
