Marvine Nabwire has struggled to stay fit consistently since joining Kenya Police from AFC Leopards, the club where his fitness problems started.
Kenya Police interim coach Salim Babu has explained how he is trying to get Marvine Nabwire firing again after he started during their 0-0 draw with Ulinzi Stars in an FKFPL encounter that took place last Monday.
Nabwire has been hampered by injuries since joining the club from AFC Leopards, and while at the club, he also suffered a long-term knee injury after taking the league by storm in 2018 following the completion of his high school studies.
Since then, he has been a shadow of a player he once was, and has struggled for consistency with the Law Enforcers.

FKFPL Salim Babu explains secret behind Kenya Police's recent resurgence
Kenya Police interim coach Salim Babu has explained what he has done differently to record an unbeaten run since taking charge of the club in January.
He has mostly been consigned to a place as a backup option for much of his career in South C, with Charles Ouma, Patillah Omotto, and even David ‘Messi’ Okoth ahead of him in the midfield pecking order.
He also has competition from January signings Samuel Onyango and Duncan Otieno.
Now, Babu has explained his plan to get Nabwire back to his best levels following those setbacks.
“Marvine had been doing well until he suffered an injury that basically ruined his momentum,” Babu said.

FKFPL Analysis : How Kayci Odhiambo can be AFC Leopards' John Stones in a hybrid midfield-center back role
Man City manager Pep Guardiola has been using John Stones in a hybrid midfield-center back role. Given Kayci is a midfielder-cum center back at AFC Leopards, could he be Tomas Trucha's version of the English defender at the club?
“We are trying to gradually bring him back up to where he was. He is a good player, but if we do not give him the minutes, we will not be doing much to help him get back where he was.”
Babu has explained that he has to share minutes equally to keep everyone fresh, explaining why he started Yusuf Mainge ahead of first choice right back Baraka Badi against Ulinzi.
“We are trying to bring him back up. Not just Marvine, but we are also trying to bring Yusuf Mainge back up.
"We have to give them chances. They are still young and they can push themselves to maximise their potential.”

STARS ABROAD Nondi, Tera dominate midfield battle as Ararat Armenia claw BKMA to keep title hopes alive
Both Kenyans played alongside each other in midfield and inspired title-hungry Ararat Armenia to victory.
In Babu's approach, a balance between experienced players and emerging talents is crucial, aiming to create an environment where players can regain their top form.
As Kenya Police strives for success in the FKFPL, Babu's commitment to player development and revitalization could prove instrumental in achieving the team's objectives.
