Samuel Kapen has revealed his targets after completing his move to Gor Mahia.
New Gor Mahia winger Samuel Kapen has revealed his ambitions after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option of a third year. He joined the club on a free transfer from Nairobi City Stars.
The winger, who scored seven goals and registered nine assists in a breakthrough season for Simba Wa Nairobi, is hopeful that his move to Gor Mahia will help him fulfill both individual and collective targets.
Kapen was close to joining Gor Mahia last January, but the parties couldn't agree on terms. The then Johnathan McKinstry-coached outfit opted to pursue Sharrif Musa instead.

Kenneth Muguna: Harambee Stars midfielder reveals why he might turn away suitors as contract ends at Kenya Police
The former Gor Mahia captain has expressed a strong desire to remain at Kenya Police following their FKF Cup win, with his current contract set to expire at the end of July
However, Kapen's dream has finally been fulfilled, and he is now focused on his goals for the season. Speaking to the club’s media channels, Kapen shared his excitement and ambitions.
“It is a big club both in Kenya and Africa. I want to achieve my goals with the club. I want to win many cups with the club,” he said.
“They will not only expect entertainment and joy, but also expect me to bring a winning mentality, which is what I want to bring to the table,” Kapen added.
Kapen is set to make his debut for Gor Mahia in the upcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup. His rise to this point has not been easy, and his journey has been marked by challenges.
In his first season in the top flight with Posta Rangers in 2021, Kapen failed to meet expectations. This setback led him to return to the National Super League (NSL) side Kibera Black Stars.
Despite these challenges, Kapen's determination and current form have brought him to Gor Mahia, where he aims to make a significant impact and help the club achieve success both domestically and in the CAF Champions League.
