The Platinum Credit Heathens might have had a tough run this season, but there are positives to pick from the players' performances.
As the national rugby sevens contingent of Michael Wokorach, Norbert Okeny, and Aaron Ofoywroth were down in South Africa playing at the World Challenger Series, players like Santos Ssenteza were on hand to keep the Heathens machine going.
The Rugby Cranes prop, who has featured in most of the Heathens games picking up a couple of man of the match awards, says he is happy about his display this season.
"On a personal note, this season has been great; I put in an extra shift to condition my body, but also, most importantly, I learned how to read the game because it's key," Ssenteza told Pulse Sports.
"At club level, it's been tough, but we've all done our best, and we shall fight on until the end; for me, unlike what everyone says, it's not done yet; we believe God can still make it happen for us,” he added.
Ssenteza also harbours dreams of going pro, adding that he will let everyone know at the right time.
"There could be an opportunity to go pro, but for now, I will keep it under wraps; when the time is right, I will let everyone know."
