Scriven made a statement after netting a brace for Hodd, while Linton Maina’s Koln are still searching for their first Bundesliga win of the season.

Harambee Stars striker Alfred Scriven netted a brace as his Hodd side drew 2-2 with Jerv in a Norwegian First Division clash played on Saturday.

Hodd, who are fighting bravely against relegation, have now been unbeaten in three of their last five league fixtures, and are 15th on 24 points, two adrift of safety.

Jerv opened the scoring through Bassekou Diabate in the 29th minute, but Scriven equalised in the 42nd minute.

Diabate would restore Jerv’s lead in the 51st minute before the Kenya international netted his brace nine minutes later to make it 2-2.

Scriven has now scored seven goals and registered three assists so far this season but is yet to start a game for Harambee Stars despite being in all squads this year.

Linton Maina

In Germany, Linton Maina played 83 minutes as FC Koln lost 2-1 to Weder Bremen in a Bundesliga clash played on Saturday.

Maina attempted two shots, one on target and another off target, as he registered an expected goal tally of 0.05. He also was not at his best creatively, as he registered a 0.03 expected assist ratio.

He had a 75 percent pass completion ratio and was fouled two times from five attempted dribbles.

Koln drew first blood through Davie Selke, who took advantage of one of the many chances they created in the 31st minute from a corner kick.

But Bremen remained dangerous afterward and equalised just a few minutes later through new signing Rafael Borré.

The Colombian slotted in clear in front of Marvin Schwäbe to make it 1-1 in the 40th minute after getting on the end of a  Marvin Ducksch through-ball.

In the second half, the game continued to be evenly matched until the 69th minute.

Home coach Ole Werner had thrown striker Njinmah into the game for goalscorer Borré.

He would then score the winning goal in an ice-cool manner giving the home team a boost.

The result now means Koln are without a win in each of their opening five Bundesliga fixtures.
